Pet Co has closed this location. They now have a store next to Costco in North Plainfield
Three visits to Petco, once in Watchung, NJ, and twice in Union, NJ. Both stores on route 22. Each visit I waited 40+ minutes in the fish department waiting to be helped in purchasing fish. Not once did anyone come over and ask if I needed help, nor did anyone even stop to check the fish area. These are the first three times I have ever gone to Petco because I usually shop in Petsmart. I will never ever go to Petco again. I don't know what their fish policy is nor the rules for staff in checking the fish area at least once every 15 minutes or so just to check the area in cases of under-staffing, but not even to see anyone in the time I was there is nothing less than ridiculous! Man I wish Pet Shanty was still in business!
Each and every time I go to Petco in Blue Star, Watchung, the grooming staff is friendly and incredibly helpful. My dog will not go on the table due to having hip surgery, and they come out and get down on the floor to cut his nails - with zero complaints. Thanks for being considerate of special needs!
I really like the new aquascaped aquariums in the fish department. I wish all the tanks looked like that at all the petco's. It adds so much to the fish area and the store. Jason does a really good job at it.
This review is strictly about the manager, David. He was so helpful and accommodating to our situation. It was refreshing to see someone who truly cares about his customers and their pets. Excellent customer service and communication.
